I don't know if any of you have noticed all the fuss over the lady in Florida. She's pretty much a vegtable except her
eyes and her husband wants to take out her feeding tube so that she'll die. (By starvation, which she would have done long
ago without the feeding tube) But her parents don't want her to be killed (Which it is, except you've got to ignore all the
technalogical advances we've made since human's evolved.) The Florida court (I beleive) gave permission to take her feeding
tube out and of course the parents are fighting. They're trying to take it to the supream court (Who've refused the case several
times.)
Now, as if that's not bad enough. But Bush (Our wonderful wise president who's getting all kinds of people killed
and all other kinds of terrible things!) has finally come back from his vacation early (Which he didn't do when there was
the tsunami, which is much more an issue. Particularly since it's a natural one and involves loads more deaths!(Which doesn't
mean that it's more important nessisarily. But in this case it does!)) And to get back all the anti-abortion religious people
he's saying that she shouldn't be allowed to die.
The right to live, don't get me wrong most of the time I beleive the right to live is wonderful. But not if all you can
do is blink and lie there as a vegtable.
So what the hell!!!! (And I very much mean that word!) do we have the death penalty? If we're so upset about
people dying natural deaths (In unnatural circumstances) than why can't we be so conserned about people dying unnatural deaths
in unnatural circumstances?
It is most definitly and unrefutably wrong!!!!!
Example: The only time that Maine executed a person (By hanging. And I forget why he was executed, sorry) they beleived
him guilty. But than after he'd been killed it came to light that he was compleatly innocent. The laws were changed
so that the death penalty was illegal (Yah!!!! Wahoo!!! Though I feel terrible for the poor man. Just as I feel bad for all
the other people killed!!! I do!) and no more people are executed in Maine.
Another example: There was recently a man in Texas. (I beleive this is how it goes, I'm sorry if I'm wrong.) He was convicted
of raping someone (his wife?) and than killing her. DNA tests later proved that he didn't rape her, so the logical mind would
beleive that he hadn't killed her either. But the Texas courts refused to listen to him or anyone else, they were too
busy (Doing who knows what! Which wasn't at all important compaired to saving an innocent man's life!) to do anything about
it an now he's dead. probobly freid in an electric chair.
Now tell me that isn't wrong? Okay, okay. I know most people don't care. They love juicy stories about stars doing terrible
things, and serial killers and murders. They love to hear who they were sentenced to be killed. But they don't want to the
killed, or accused of being the killer. If their in danger it's not so good. And if their life is in danger (Not just from
the killer, but from the court room) it's not good at all.
How many people who didn't do what they were accused of have been killed, or even sentenced to jail time.
Yet another example: A man was sent to jail for raping a woman. 11 years later he finally got the DNA test that he wanted
done to prove his innocents. He was proven innocent and set free. But, he wasn't really free. (I beleive this is how it goes.)
His wife had been getting child support since he was convicted, being unable to care for the child and herself without other
help. Now, after he was set free the state wanted all the money that they'd given to the family for child support back because
he should have been out in the world working. How unfair is that? Not only are 11 years of his life terrible, because of something
he didn't do, but he's still got to pay for something that isn't his fault.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!!!!!!!!!!
I could go on forever. But I'll be frank (Not Frank Burns, just frank, honest and all that) I don't beleive
that anyone has a right to kill others, in anyway, directly or indirectly. I don't even eat meat. (For a diffrent
reason entirely, but that's okay.) It's decidedly wrong, and we shouldn't tollerate it.
Espessually as we're supposed to be be the great US of A. And stand for freedom and justice for all. (While we stand
for a free powerplay between out president. Probubly trying to prove his daddy wrong and prove that he's right and good all
that those crappy lies.)
Wouldn't it be better to have them rot in solitary confinment for their whole lives until they die. (First of all, if
their innocent the wrong can be somewhat righted.) And they'd be alone with their mind. After a while their going to start
thinking, weather they think the right thing or the wrong thing (which I don't have any buisness deciding.
But I do anyway.) Perhaps over time they'll realize what they did was wrong, perhaps they'll just go insane with their own
mind as their only company. Who know, but I'd certainly rather find out that than another innocent person was killed.
Once someone quoted the Bible at me. He said that it was black and white. I have to argue. It's full of contradictions.
Which I don't even get into here. But I will get into one thing.
One of the comandments says that Thous shalt not kill. And that's what the man said, it was black and white.
Everyone knows what it means.
But it doesn't, it isn't and all! Thou shalt not kill what? Human's? Animals? Plants? Insects? What? I could
sya that's why I don't eat meat. It isn't. I could say that's why I feel guilty swatting flies and other bugs. I could say
that's why I try and never wear animal hide. I could even say that's why I'm against the death penatly.
And I would be a terrible liar! It's not the reason at all. It's just an added argument in stone soup. I beleive
(Me personally) that all life has a right to live. Yes, I have killed and kill continue to kill bugs. Particularly when they're
bothering me. I will continue to kill plants. I like to eat, alot and plants are what I eat. But I will argue that
killing people and animals is decidednly wrong.
I know most people don't beleive that their animals. (My fourth grade teacher flunked my report on humans which I'd written
were animals, because they are.) We have intelligence, but so do animals. We stand on two feet, so do birds. Hell, fish don't
stand at all, does that make them better than us? We just compleatly change the earth in ways that other animals don't do,
and probubly can't/
Which is getting way off the subject.
So now we're back on.
If all life is sacrad, than who can we kill people, how can we kill each other, how can we kill anything or anyone?
